Pasties

Making pasties seems like such a womanly, motherly skill, I feel I really ought to master it . Luckily I have the perfect house mate to teach me.
In goes the swede, potato and carrots, while the steak and onions brown.
A letter for each member of the household.

Messy business this cooking.
Yum! Delicious!
Now to eat them whilst all wrapped under blankets and watching 'The Apprentice', perfect winter evening!

Early

As one of us is due to pop on Christmas Day we felt it prudent to have Christmas dinner a little early this year.
 Happy family.
 Tee Hee.
Lovely stuff.

The First Snow Of Winter

'Pssssttt!'
'Wake up'
'WAKE UP'
'What?'
'It's snowing!'

'Come and look outside, it's a winter wonderland':
'It's not that snowy'
'Yes it is. Look at my pots':
'And all the robin's in the tree'
'Very nice'
'I'm going to wake Hannah up'

Definitely enjoying the first snow today, especially after hearing about what feels like everywhere else in the country having some. It's a little cold for our favourite Greek Cypriot though:

The Beauty All Around

It's funny how, after a while, the beauty all around you just becomes ordinary, even mundane. I never thought there would be a day when I could walk into the chapel and not think 'Wow'.

Probably as recently we've been doing this:

Rather than concentrating on our singing and facing the front!

Pyjama Day

You have to once in a while.

Nothing like eating a Sunday roast in your pyjamas. Nothing at all.

Radio

Why yes we have been hitting those airwaves! Once again we were marooned onto 'Gospel Island' with only a record player and our five favourite gospel tunes to sustain us.
Slide that knob!

Escape

Sometimes you just have to run away from all the work and sitting inside and actual go out to appreciate the world we live in.
We cycled out to Virginia Water to see the last of the autumn colours.
It was just stunning, the lake clear as glass, the sun giving us the last bit of warmth left in it, the trees clutching at thier last few orange leaves.
We meant to cycle around the lake but when you find a spot like this you can't really leave; we just talked for two hours.
